Direct trauma

 

‘The types of injuries sustained through direct trauma are usually from direct impact and are often visibly identifiable, below are some  examples of injuries sustained from direct trauma’

 

* Sprain

 

* Strain

 

* Rupture

 

* Dislocation

 

* Deformity

 

* Bruising

 

* Swelling

 

* Inflammation

 

* Or even through surgical intervention

 

Indirect trauma

 

‘The types of injuries which are sustained through indirect trauma are usually not visible to the naked eye’

 

Below are some examples of injuries sustained from indirect trauma.

 

* Poor posture

 

* Poor breathing technique (this is as a   result of reduced levels of oxygen

   circulating around the body.

 

* Malnutrition

 

* Dehydration

 

* Muscular fatigue

 

* Or just simply day to day stress

   (physical, environmental, psychological

  or emotional)
