Breathing......

Breathing is something that we give very little thought to in every day life and the many varied activities we perform - WHY? Because it is in the control of the sub - conscious mind(otherwise known to be automatic and a natural process).

Breathing is a process whereby the lungs provide oxygen for our heart to keep us active, healthy and most importantly....”ALIVE!”

Unless you are a patient suffering from any form of respiratory condition (Chronic obstructive airway disease, asthma etc) or you are a healthcare professional, how often do you stop to think and appreciate all the effort put together by the body to enable us to perform respiration?

Did you now that there are a total of approximately 14 different skeletal muscle groups that contribute towards the achievement of anterio - posterior and lateral dimensional movement of the thoracic cavity (chest) to create the sufficient space for our lungs to expand and inhale ‘that’ very oxygen?

So, however, whenever and wherever - 1 minute to an hour spent towards muscular care is not just an achievement, but an ‘investment’. A very important saying - “Prevention is better than cure”
