MUSCULAR THERAPY.....

uses an  approach which  aims to achieve a universal understanding to the importance of both obtaining and maintaining a healthy muscular system through healthier living, promoting diet, exercise, whole body maintenance and injury prevention.

MUSCULAR THERAPY is essential because poor muscular care can have a detrimental effect on the whole of the body and not just your skeletal muscles, it adversely affects your internal health too, leading to the damage to any one of your internal organs - the heart - lungs - kidneys - liver - stomach and brain etc and of course the skeletal muscles themselves, all of which leads to general poor health and makes you more vulnerable to illness, infection, disease and physical injuries.

In today’s busy, often chaotic and active world with the associated pressures and time constraints you may think the approach we use is too complicated and time consuming, this is not the case. By introducing and following some basic principals and together working towards achievable goals set by yourself the benefits can quickly be felt and achieved in your life and can be arranged in the comfort of your own home.

You may be aware of many of these changes as listed below, muscular therapy however structures these changes for the maximum impact and benefits.

- adopting a healthier eating habit

  (solids and fluids)

- doing specific exercise/training

- postural awareness, core stability

- breathing exercises

- massage treatments (sports

   massage, aromatherapy massage

  and holistic massage etc)

Sports Massage

Not for me? Because you don’t do sports or have an injury......well you don’t have to!

Massage technique has been in use since history began.

Sports massage has been in the sporting and exercising industries for many years.

Sports massage practitioners have been working very closely with the multidisciplinary team in the sporting field (hence its name) treating musculo-skeletal injuries through to their rehabilitation programme, preparing participants before (pre) events, then helping them recover after (post) event. For injury prevention sports massage however has very little identity in the eyes of the general public, this is unfortunate due to the lack of information and knowledge providing awareness of its existence, effectiveness for the treatment of muscular care and its influence on the general internal systemic circulation of the body.

What makes sports massage different to the average massage is the use of specialist techniques.

Sports massage is not only beneficial to those in the sporting industries, but also to many individuals who have taken advantage of its effectiveness for the treatment of general muscular tensions, tightness, aches and pains whether it be secondary to sustaining injury by direct/indirect trauma.
